Before we start this recipe, I would like to thank Catherine from Bonners Ferry Idaho for sending us this yummy jalapeno tartar sauce recipe. To begin please take out a large sealable mixing bowl. Next add in the real mayonnaise, chopped jalapeno peppers, sweet pickle relish, freshly squeezed lemon juice, coarse ground black pepper, kosher salt, and minced fresh shallots. Using a metal whisk or a wooden mixing spoon, rapidly stir these ingredients together until a smooth and consistent tartar sauce forms. Once the sauce is done being mixed, place a lid on the bowl and then slide it into the refrigerator to chill for at least an hour. Chilling the tartar sauce will sharpen the spiciness of the jalapenos, and it will also blend the flavors together. The texture of this tartar sauce will be rather chunky, however you can choose to pulse it a couple of times in the blender if you prefer a smooth well blended sauce. That concludes this wonderful recipe. Please be sure to bookmark our website, as our collection of shrimp and seafood sauce recipes continues to grown by the week.
